Cleaning and Grinding

During cleaning, castings undergo a tumble blasting process to remove all excess sand from the casting. After blasting, iron castings are ground to remove parting lines and gating contacts. We utilize Fox 30" snag grinders, belt sanders & a wide variety of hand held grinders to ensure proper grinding tolerances. Check gauges are used on many parts to ensure contacts and parting lines are removed properly.
